The company is waiting for legal trouble and I'm surprised. This program seriously cost me a LOT of trouble! And for those that pay for that bandwidth, there's no telling how much it would have cost one of us. All they had to do was ask! I would have capped it at maybe 20 kb/s (out of maybe 60 available) and let it run for a few months to help out. And I'm sure it's mentioned somewhere in the ToS? I sure would hope so. If they would have had the program test my upload speed, and automatically cap to half of the available upstream, they might have gotten away with it too. And I do believe it is for the purposes the poster stated to secretly use people and save money. Lol ) I too acknowledge this practice makes a lot of sense, however as the poster as well as you have said, it makes no sense when it does it secretly. Are you ******* kidding me? How unethical. Mine was installed with Dungeons and Dragons Online. As soon as I opened the program and saw the option to Limit Upload, I went BINGO. Come to find out it was this MENACING program that had decided to upload data to other users WIDE OPEN. Being so "experienced" had led me to assume it must have been the Internet, or my neighbors PCs. I then discovered the problem was only present when my computer was running.
My ISP graciously came to replace my Internet box.
